1. Acceptance of Terms
By using HTS Classify (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time by posting a new version here.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your email and login credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. All activity under your account is your responsibility.
3. Use of Service
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to file false, misleading, or fraudulent customs declarations
- Bypass rate limits or attempt unauthorized access
- Scrape or bulk-download results for resale
- Use the Service to harass, deceive, or violate any law
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Paid plans renew monthly on your billing date. Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not offer refunds for partial months. You can cancel anytime via the Customer Portal — your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Free tier includes 50 lookups per month.
5. API Access
API access is available only to Pro plan subscribers. API keys are tied to your account. Do not share your key. Abuse of the API may result in suspension of your account.
6. Tariff & Customs Disclaimer
Classifications provided by HTS Classify are for informational purposes only and are not customs, tariff, or legal advice. Final classification of goods imported into the United States is the legal responsibility of the importer of record. HTS codes, duty rates, and the list of required documents can vary based on origin, end-use, temporary trade programs (Section 301 surcharges, FTAs, trade agreements), and CBP ruling history. We strongly recommend consulting a licensed customs broker before filing any customs entry.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Classifications are best-effort predictions and may be incorrect.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HTS Classify and its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service, including lost profits, lost duties recovery, failed shipments, or any other damages.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HTS Classify from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of customs regulations.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for breach of these terms, fraudulent activity, or non-payment of subscription fees. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflicts of law.
